Khan River was originally a cattle farm but was converted to a game farm and tourist destination a number of years ago. All internal fences were removed allowing the game to roam freely. For the last 15 years we have been building up game stock on our 15 000 acre game farm which has no high fence thereby allowing the animals to move at will around the Okawi Conservancy of which we are members & which covers an area of over half a million acres.

The lodge is nestled between the boundaries of the famous Namib Naukluft Park in Namibia. You will find us halfway between Solitaire and Sesriem, the gateway to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei Pan. Relaxing at our infinity pool offers panoramic views across the vastness of the Namib Desert. Here you will experience the calming stillness and stark beauty of the world’s oldest desert.

One of the highlights of Kaokoland in the far northern reaches of Namibia, Epupa is a magical belt of makalani palm forest on the perennial Kunene River. There’s something special about this Kaokoland refuge 180km north of Opuwo, where the Kunene River plunges into the gorge below. Zambezi Mubala is a secret river hideaway where water laps the shores of the mighty Zambezi, hippos laugh and the calls of fish eagles pierce the vast blue sky. Leave your vehicle at Zambezi Mubala Camp, south of Katima Mulilo to cruise downriver and enter the enchanted Mubala world. The lodge sings its tributes to the colours of the water, the surrounding riverine vegetation and the clear blue sky, adopting the local Silozi name for colour – ‘Mubala’. A bird-lover’s dream, Zambezi Mubala Lodge is home to over 450 species of birds and hosts the springtime (August – December) visit of one of the largest colonies of carmine bee-eaters in Africa. These bright and cheerful visitors nest along the banks of the majestic Zambezi, filling the air with sound, activity and colour as they flash crimson breasts, swooping and rising into the air in an exuberant burst of energy.

The Gabus Game Ranch is a family-owned lodge in Namibia which was built back in 1995.  The lodge is a popular overnight destination for tourists and locals travelling to Etosha National Park.

The Mahangu Safari Lodge lies 22 kilometers south of the town Divundu, at the western bank of the Okavango river, on route to the Mahango National Park. The lodge is a convenient stop-over for travellers to and from Botswana (Okavango delta), the Caprivi strip as well as the Victoria Falls.

Kambaku Safari Lodge is situated about 20-25 km north of the Waterberg Nature Reserve on a 80 km² Wildlife Resort. The lodge faces a waterhole and is surrounded by woodlands of big thorn bushes and Omumborumbonga (leadwood) trees. Kambaku offers 8 double rooms and 2 luxury rooms. For those just wanting a break from the road, lounge at the pool, take a snooze in the coolness of your thatch-and-stone chalet or dip into a book on the terrace. The awe-inspiring canyon wakens our senses to the raw and powerful beauty of Nature.

Built in an environmentally sensitive manner, primarily from wood, canvas and thatch, in an attractive ‘afro-village’ style, Sossus Dune Lodge offers guests an evocative and life changing experience. Situated within the Namib Naukluft Park, guests benefit from being able to reach Sossusvlei before sunrise, and stay until after sunset.
