Erongo Plateau Camp is situated in the heart of the Erongo mountain range near Omaruru. This is the gate to Damaraland where you find the famous desert elephants or ancient Himba tribe in Kaokoveld. It is also within comfortable traveling distance to Swakopmund, Hentiesbay, Twyfelfontein, Etosha or even the capital city Windhoek. The camp provides three private campsites. Several excursions can be made including visits of interesting sights in the Erongo mountains such as Bull’s Party and Phillip’s Cave.

Built in the wattle and daub style under Mopane trees and connected by a labyrinth of paths, the main building and chalets of the lodge look like an African village. The walls are adorned by copies of the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein. Each of the 60 double room chalets (with air conditioning) sits in a vegetable and herb garden surrounded by a low wall. Waterberg Camp is situated at the foot of the Waterberg Plateau Park and apart from various accommodation facilities it offers a restaurant, a swimming pool, a fuel station and a little shop. Main attraction is the Waterberg Plateau Park. Guests can take part in game drives as well as guided hikes on the top of the plateau.
Khowarib Lodge nestles on the banks of the Hoanib River in the magnificent Khowarib Gorge in north-west Namibia. The 14 canvas en-suite Chalets are a short walk from the lodge to the river bank and comprise either twin or double bed sleeping arrangements. Viewing platforms extend from the front of each tent shaded by the plentiful Mopani trees but affording splendid views of the gorge. The bathrooms are spacious and well equipped and add to the feeling of indulgence and relaxation that Khowarib Lodge offers.

Madisa Camp is situated in Namibia’s scenic Damaraland, on the very popular road to the Twyfelfontein World Heritage Site. The Camp is hidden between amazing rock formations scattered with Bushman Paintings, and the majestic Desert Elephant periodically pass through the area. The swimming pool welcomes you after a long hot day on the road and gives you the much-needed chance to rejuvenate and explore your surroundings. Accommodation is provided in 7 Twin Bedded Safari tents, each with open-air bathrooms built into natural rock formations. The Camp also has 9 Private camp sites as well as 5 Overland camp sites. Each spacious campsite is shaded by large Mopane Trees with exquisite views of the Gauntegab River and the rock formations. The campsites have individual open-air private ablution facilities, situated on stilts and hidden amongst the tree tops.
Erongo Region Accommodation
Kashana is based in a historic building constructed in 1907 as a casino for local mine-workers. It is thought that the house probably gained its name from the surrounding bush savannah which resembled a wide open plain or ‘Kashana’ in the Owambo language. The years took their toll on the building and after painstaking restoration to its former glory it once again reflects its German colonial heritage and was re-opened in 2007. Today, the building is the centerpiece of a Lodge-style Guesthouse with a novel and attractive bar and a popular all-day à la carte restaurant, frequented not only by residents, but also by passing travellers and local townspeople, all enjoying the tranquil shade of the garden courtyard.
The Etusis Nature and Game Reserve was gradually expanded to its 21,000 hectares of today. We consciously avoid fences, which suppress the natural migration of the game species through the Reserve. The Lodge was built a little later in the heart of the reserve – with a gentle ecologically sustainable tourism concept, in which mankind understands herself as a guest. Just west of Omaruru , The Erongo Wild perches amidst the rugged granite kopjes imminent to Namibia’s Erongo Mountains. The lodge is a founder member of the 2,000 square kilometer Erongo Mountain Nature Conservancy, which brings together 30 private landowners in an effort to conserve this diverse area, known for excellent bird watching and hiking. There are also rare and endemic species of fauna and flora here, along with Bushman rock paintings.
Khan River was originally a cattle farm but was converted to a game farm and tourist destination a number of years ago. All internal fences were removed allowing the game to roam freely. For the last 15 years we have been building up game stock on our 15 000 acre game farm which has no high fence thereby allowing the animals to move at will around the Okawi Conservancy of which we are members & which covers an area of over half a million acres.
Epako Safari Lodge is a stylish and exclusive lodge situated in the Erongo region in an 11,000 hectare private reserve.
