Waterberg Wilderness Lodge

Hohenstein Lodge is located close to the Hohenstein (2310m), the highest peak of the majestic Erongo Mountains. The Lodge offers 14 rooms, a restaurant and a swimming pool. Activities include sundowner drives, guided walking trails and self-drive excursions to Bull’s Party, Philipp’s Cave, the Spitzkoppe or even the Brandberg.

Namib Dune Star Camp is situated on the crest of ancient sand dunes overlooking the spectacular landscape of the Namib Desert. The tent houses of Teufelskrallen Lodge are located on the first western Kalahari dune and offer its guests a panoramic view over the endless vastness and the sprawling Kalahari dunes. The fully-furnished and comfortably equipped tented houses come with a large view deck and their own bathroom. Each bathroom is connected to the tent by a short boardwalk. Reception, restaurant and swimming pool are located in the old farmhouse at a distance of 3km from the tents. During hikes and game drives, guests can experience the breathtaking beauty of the Kalahari with the 30m dunes and the rich wildlife stock.

Perched on the rim of the Etendeka Plateau, Grootberg Lodge stands sentinel over the Klip River Valley. The lodge is the ideal midway stopover for visitors travelling between Etosha National Park and Swakopmund, allowing them to experience the true wilderness that is Damaraland. Fourteen cosy twin chalets and two-family units, powered with solar energy, are perched along the edge of the Etendeka Plateau and will make you feel at home. They are built from natural materials to blend into the surroundings. Private decks provide stunning views across the Klip River Valley. Each chalet is equipped with a private bathroom, a desk and a coffee and tea station. There are no electrical outlets, but we have a charging station in the main area of the lodge.

At Shametu River Lodge you will be experiencing the tranquillity of the Kavango River on your doorstep. When driving to the Caprivi, most travellers assume that Divundu, Kavango East, is only a place for a quick stop-over on their way to game parks and fishing tales but what they do not realise is that they are driving thru one of Namibia’s most precious hidden gems. Divundu is filled with the rich culture of the Kavango people – women draped with colourful cloth, Nguni cattle crossing the road every few meters. Children playing in the river and men on the wato’s catching dinner with nothing but an earthworm on a hand line. Game parks filled with wildlife, the Kavango East has become a destination in its own, a place where you can spend at least a few days.

The Plains Camp is 700m from the airstrip within the secluded wilderness area of Okonjima Nature Reserve and has majestic sunset views. Its design honours the Hanssen’s family cattle-farming history with its three-tier accommodation facility of 10 large View Rooms, 14 spacious Standard Rooms and six affordable Garden Rooms. It is family-friendly and wheelchair accessible.

Ugab Terrace Lodge is set deep in the heart of a rare and untouched mystery situated within Namibia’s famous tourist attractions. Khan River was originally a cattle farm but was converted to a game farm and tourist destination a number of years ago. All internal fences were removed allowing the game to roam freely. For the last 15 years we have been building up game stock on our 15 000 acre game farm which has no high fence thereby allowing the animals to move at will around the Okawi Conservancy of which we are members & which covers an area of over half a million acres.
