Doro Nawas rests on the edge of the dry Aba-Huab River overlooking ancient plains with glorious views of the rugged Damaraland area. The camp provides an excellent base for exploring in game drive vehicles and on foot, as well as excursions to view fascinating geological phenomena, petroglyphs (prehistoric rock engravings) and San rock art at Twyfelfontein, Namibia’s first World Heritage Site. The 16 chalets are crafted in wood, canvas and thatch (including a family unit) to blend in with the surrounding scenery. Each unit comprises a bedroom, bathroom, outdoor shower, and veranda for star gazing or sleep outs under the stars. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas, a pool area and a small curio shop.

Situated close to the world famous Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park the Kalahari Game Lodge owns a 40.000 Ha private game reserve where 55 mammals, 58 reptiles and amphibians, 105 bird species and 185 plant types have found a home. The lodge comprises of eight luxury chalets equipped with en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans, air-cons and mosquito nets. The small kitchenette has tea and coffee making facility, wash basin, small fridge and a seating area. Each chalet also boasts with a private patio with idyllic views of the tranquil surroundings. At the lodge, guests can enjoy the restaurant, swimming pool, bonfire pit, and bar facilities. For the more adventurous visitors, the lodge also has six exclusive campsites located in the picturesque Auob riverbed. These campsites are widely spread and approx. 100 meters apart. Each is equipped with private ablution facilities, lighted by solar energy (advised to also bring own additional lighting) and the water heating system is a wood-fired donkey boiler. Housekeeping attends to each campsite daily.
One of the highlights of Kaokoland in the far northern reaches of Namibia, Epupa is a magical belt of makalani palm forest on the perennial Kunene River. Damaraland Camp is situated in the Huab River Valley in one of the best wilderness areas in Namibia, offering endless vistas across stark plains, ancient valleys and a stunning ochre-purple mountain backdrop. Activities include nature drives and walks while further afield, ancient rock art and geological wonders dot the area. Ten large adobe-style thatched units (including a family unit) are raised off the ground, each with a walk-in dressing area and a large deck on which to sit and contemplate the desert. The spacious public living area comprises a dining area and swimming pool. An open campfire and outdoor boma are enjoyed during calm evenings and stargazing is superb, thanks to the crystal-clear night skies.
Perched on the rim of the Etendeka Plateau, Grootberg Lodge stands sentinel over the Klip River Valley. The lodge is the ideal midway stopover for visitors travelling between Etosha National Park and Swakopmund, allowing them to experience the true wilderness that is Damaraland. Fourteen cosy twin chalets and two-family units, powered with solar energy, are perched along the edge of the Etendeka Plateau and will make you feel at home. They are built from natural materials to blend into the surroundings. Private decks provide stunning views across the Klip River Valley. Each chalet is equipped with a private bathroom, a desk and a coffee and tea station. There are no electrical outlets, but we have a charging station in the main area of the lodge.

The name Mushara is derived from the Purple Pod Terminalia tree which grows abundantly on the lodge grounds and in the surroundings. The thatched public area includes a small library with a selection of good books, a bar with an extensive wine cellar, an airy lounge complete with welcoming fireplace for winter evenings, a dining area and a well stocked curio shop. Great attention has been paid to the décor, which is an eclectic blend of traditional African and modern works of art mixed with original older paintings.

AOBA is a word from the San (Bushman) languages which means “when the sun goes down“. Situated in the forested area of a riverine environment, the recently renovated Onguma Etosha Aoba Camp offers high thatched ceilings, an impressive wine cellar to complement delicious meals served under the stars, a refreshing swimming pool and an elevated viewing deck both overlooking a large and active waterhole. Onguma Etosha Aoba Camp is unfenced and therefore no children under the age of 7 years will be allowed. Game drives are conducted on open safari vehicles and therefore for safety reasons, children under 10 years are not permitted on game drive vehicles.
