“Shark Island is situated on the Shark Peninsula in the coastal town of Lüderitz. From Shark Island you have wonderful views onto the rough and cold Atlantic Ocean and in fact the whole area is rather inhospitable with its barren, rugged rock surfaces and the Namib Desert that surrounds it.
Nonetheless the town has its own charm, created by a mixture of it”s colonial buildings, the harbor, the sea and it”s rich history.”

A beguiling mixture of sophistication and relaxation, reminiscent of that ‘Out of Africa’ under canvas romance, Onguma Tented Camp is the ultimate in safari chic. Built i around an active waterhole and. Constructed from Etosha stone and triple-layered canvas tents on decks, the luxury tents are built in the tree-line, offering spacious interiors and uninterrupted views of the active waterhole.

Situated close to the world famous Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park the Kalahari Game Lodge owns a 40.000 Ha private game reserve where 55 mammals, 58 reptiles and amphibians, 105 bird species and 185 plant types have found a home. The lodge comprises of eight luxury chalets equipped with en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans, air-cons and mosquito nets. The small kitchenette has tea and coffee making facility, wash basin, small fridge and a seating area. Each chalet also boasts with a private patio with idyllic views of the tranquil surroundings. At the lodge, guests can enjoy the restaurant, swimming pool, bonfire pit, and bar facilities. For the more adventurous visitors, the lodge also has six exclusive campsites located in the picturesque Auob riverbed. These campsites are widely spread and approx. 100 meters apart. Each is equipped with private ablution facilities, lighted by solar energy (advised to also bring own additional lighting) and the water heating system is a wood-fired donkey boiler. Housekeeping attends to each campsite daily.

There is nothing quite like exploring untouched nature on foot. Far away from the rumbling and buzzing of tourists and hectic roads, yet so close to the Sossusvlei, a beautiful landscape presents itself, which wants to be discovered. This is not only about performance orientated sporting achievements, but rather about enjoying a pleasant stroll and exploring nature and wildlife along unique riverbeds and mountain slopes, hidden bushman paintings and the red sand dunes of the Namib.

Luxurious Lodge with two suites and 14 rooms with various views depending on type of view-room booked, nestled amongst the boulders throughout the mountain. The lodge is located close to the UNESCO heritage site of Twyfelfontein and where the desert adapted elephants roam.  The Twyfelfontein conservancy has been protecting the southern most roaming ground of the black rhino and elusive desert elephant. Sustainable eco-tourism and community upliftment is of the utmost importance at Mowani. Guides from the local tribes compliment day-time game drives to track mountain zebra, kudu, springbok, klipspringer and if you are fortunate enough… the leopard! The adventurer in me took over at Mowani. Days were filled with game drives, hot air balloon trips over the Aba-Huab Valley, champagne breakfasts and al fresco meals amidst the dusky landscape beneath Mopani trees.

Madisa Camp is situated in Namibia’s scenic Damaraland, on the very popular road to the Twyfelfontein World Heritage Site. The Camp is hidden between amazing rock formations scattered with Bushman Paintings, and the majestic Desert Elephant periodically pass through the area.  The swimming pool welcomes you after a long hot day on the road and gives you the much-needed chance to rejuvenate and explore your surroundings. Accommodation is provided in 7 Twin Bedded Safari tents, each with open-air bathrooms built into natural rock formations. The Camp also has 9 Private camp sites as well as 5 Overland camp sites. Each spacious campsite is shaded by large Mopane Trees with exquisite views of the Gauntegab River and the rock formations. The campsites have individual open-air private ablution facilities, situated on stilts and hidden amongst the tree tops.

The award-winning Lüderitz Nest Hotel (est. 1998) is one of Namibia’s favourite hotels and is located directly on the rocks and sea with its own private tidal beach and walk-on jetty – unique in Namibia! The 4 Star hotel is located in Lüderitz, a harbour town in the south-west of Namibia. The hotel offers 70 Rooms, 3 Suites and the locally acclaimed Penguin Restaurant, a Sauna, an Internet Café and a children playground. The hotel and organizes several excursions to attractions around Lüderitz.

IGowati Country Lodge in Damaraland is situated in the town of Khorixas and is in close vicinity of Vingerklip, Petrified Forrest, Burnt Mountain, Twyfelfontein and Organ Pipes. The lodge is also the perfect stopover on your way to Etosha or Uis and the White Lady rock painting or even Torra Bay and the Skeleton Coast Park.
