Okahirongo River Camp is an eco-friendly luxury tented lodge built on a sweeping ridge and opening up to breathtaking views of the Kunene River. All the Luxury tents are placed to have their own private view on the beautiful landscape. A nice breeze is coming from the nearby coast on the Atlantic ocean while an unforgettable lullaby is played every night by the river flowing between the rocky edges. Cleverly built into the rocky terrain all the accommodation are constructed with wood and canvas, walls in concrete to recall the mountains around. Each have a magnificent view of their own.

Khowarib Lodge nestles on the banks of the Hoanib River in the magnificent Khowarib Gorge in north-west Namibia. The 14 canvas en-suite Chalets are a short walk from the lodge to the river bank and comprise either twin or double bed sleeping arrangements. Viewing platforms extend from the front of each tent shaded by the plentiful Mopani trees but affording splendid views of the gorge. The bathrooms are spacious and well equipped and add to the feeling of indulgence and relaxation that Khowarib Lodge offers.

Rugged, iconic, startlingly life-filled Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp is scenically located in a broad valley at the confluence of two tributaries of the Hoanib River in the northern part of the private Palmwag Concession. Its location thus straddles the Palmwag area and the iconic Skeleton Coast National Park, in one of the most remote areas of the Kaokoveld. Kaokoveld Accommodation
Etaambura Camp, Namibia’s first Himba-owned camp is situated on top of a hill near the holy plains of Onjuva, and is a real insider tip. Etaambura has five canvas and thatch units each with its own private deck. These units have all been built on wooden platforms allowing amazing views onto the surrounding landscape. Etaambura is the ideal place to relax. You might see a klipspringer or at dusk, a Jameson’s rock rabbit. Tiny footprints are evidence of genets and African wildcats. The calls of a diversity of birds, the whispery rustle of paper-bark and other Commiphora trees, bottle trees in bloom, the rich hues of purple-pod Terminalia with 360 degree views make this camp unforgettable. After a game drive where you might be fortunate enough to see black rhino, enjoy a stroll and explore the hill, a botanical treasure trove with its many endemic species of plants and shrubs. Or just chill on one of the decks and enjoy the view with a sundowner.
Camp Aussicht is a unique Rest camp in the Kaokoveld situated south of Opuwo. The camp is located with an extraordinary
view of the valley below and in a beautiful quiet and isolated position on the top of a hill. There are 6 campsites, each with 1-2 bucket showers, 1-2 pit latrine, running water and a fireplace. No power. There are also 4 twin rooms with running water and energy. Bucket showers and pit latrines are outside to be shared.
One of the highlights of Kaokoland in the far northern reaches of Namibia, Epupa is a magical belt of makalani palm forest on the perennial Kunene River. There’s something special about this Kaokoland refuge 180km north of Opuwo, where the Kunene River plunges into the gorge below. Camp Syncro is located right at the edge of the Kunene River. It is a remote paradise where you can find a place of recreation, far off civilization. The Camp is only reachable by 4×4. It is a place to relax, to listen to the river, to look at the mountains and to enjoy the scenery. The area is home to the nomadic Ovahimba and to pristine nature and wildlife. The camp offers 4 campsites, each with an individual braai area, a sink with running water and a table. Hot/cold showers and flushing toilets can be found in the shared ablution block. 2 Self-Catering Bungalow are also available.
