AOBA is a word from the San (Bushman) languages which means “when the sun goes down“.  Situated in the forested area of a riverine environment, the recently renovated Onguma Etosha Aoba Camp offers high thatched ceilings, an impressive wine cellar to complement delicious meals served under the stars, a refreshing swimming pool and an elevated viewing deck both overlooking a large and active waterhole. Onguma Etosha Aoba Camp is unfenced and therefore no children under the age of 7 years will be allowed.  Game drives are conducted on open safari vehicles and therefore for safety reasons, children under 10 years are not permitted on game drive vehicles.

Tambuti is a small Lodge beautifully perched above the Kavango River overlooking the floodplain. We are one of the rare lodges looking at the river without getting wet feet, thus we are also open during the flood season, all year round. Perched on the rim of the Etendeka Plateau, Grootberg Lodge stands sentinel over the Klip River Valley. The lodge is the ideal midway stopover for visitors travelling between Etosha National Park and Swakopmund, allowing them to experience the true wilderness that is Damaraland. Fourteen cosy twin chalets and two-family units, powered with solar energy, are perched along the edge of the Etendeka Plateau and will make you feel at home. They are built from natural materials to blend into the surroundings. Private decks provide stunning views across the Klip River Valley. Each chalet is equipped with a private bathroom, a desk and a coffee and tea station. There are no electrical outlets, but we have a charging station in the main area of the lodge.
