Goibib Mountain Lodge is a situated in southern Namibia and is a useful stopover for those travelling between South Africa and Namibia. It offers a tranquil getaway right in the heart of the Great Karas Mountains. The Karas region is the southernmost, and the driest area in Namibia. It is flanked by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, South Africa and Botswana to the east and the Orange River border lies to the south. The beauty of the surrounding veld, can be enjoyed in the morning or afternoon, on foot or from the one of the lodge’s air-conditioned four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicles. A variety of game can be viewed, including kudu, springbok, gemsbok and ostriches, as well as smaller species such as rock dassies and the elusive steenbok. Goibib Mountain Lodge has plenty of walking trails in and around the farm, and are now specializing in spotlit night game drives.

Hobas is the hub to the famous Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon worldwide. Hobas offers 6 bush chalets and 14 campsites and is the ideal stay over for hikers wanting to accomplish the well-known Fish River Canyon Hike! The fantastic views from this majestic, gigantic ravine, make it a popular hiking destination. The Fish River is the longest interior river in Namibia and it cuts deep into the dry, stony plateau, which is sparsely covered with hardy drought resistant succulents. Public view points can be found around the camp site. Guests stay in 6 well-placed bush chalets en-suite.
There are also 16 shady campsites equipped with braai areas, water taps and lights. Showers/baths, toilets and wash basins are provided in the ablution block. There is no mains electricity and the site is powered by a generator from 6am-midday, and from 5pm – 10pm. Basic groceries, beer, wines and tinned food can be bought at the kiosk. Visitors must be aware that additional park fees must be paid on arrival.

“The name //Garas is the nama word (a local language) which means Quiver tree. This is a very basic, but clean campsite with ablution facilities, that has been decorated in an attractive manner. There are many quiver trees between amazing rock formations, and several aloe plants. Wood, water and snacks are available, but everything else you need to supply yourself. The owner of the rest camp is also an artist and immediately when turning off the B1 towards the campsite one can find several sculptures made from all sorts of materials along the road. Day visitors are welcome to visit this slightly different Quivertree forest.

The Quivertree Forest Rest Camp, located on the farm Gariganus just 13 km north-east of Keetmanshoop on road M29, offer tourists comfortable accommodation amid a pristine Namibian landscape. On the farm visitors can explore the ancient and famous Quivertree Forest and the dolerite rock formations of the Giants Playground at their leisure. All campsites are comfortable, have hot and cold showers, electricity power points, water and BBQ facilities.
Alte Kalkofen Lodge is situated 100 km west from the small historical town Keetmanshoop en-route the main tar road to Luderitz in the Southern part of Namibia. The lodge is set in a beautiful natural African garden where vast open spaces effortlessly combine with the rocky desert area. The lodge itself offers 10 bungalows as well as two rooms in the farm house, all overlooking large camel thorn trees growing in the river bed. The lodge features its own restaurant where breakfast is served daily. The restaurant is also open to guests for light lunches and home-cooked evening meals.
