Dr. Frans Indongo, a subsistent farmer’s son, went from attending livestock on his father’s farm to becoming one of the wealthiest men in Namibia. Frans Indongo Lodge offers 14 Rooms and Chalets, with a stylish African Interior Design inspired by the Namibian Ovambo culture. This remote settlement, at the edge of the Namib-Naukluft National Park, has been a welcome stopover for more than 60 years. Solitaire sits just below the Tropic of Capricorn at the center of the 45,000 acre Solitaire Land Trust, dedicated to preserving the grassland ecosystem and the wild animals that reside here. The Private Bush Suite is situated in the open Acacia thornveld within the secluded wilderness area of the Okonjima valley with a backdrop of the sandstone Omboroko Mountains. It is approximately 3.5km from the Plains Camp and 500m from the Bush Camp. Located on the edge of a natural waterhole, its two separate, luxury, en-suite bedrooms under a double-volume thatched roof can accommodate a family or group of four (4 pax: one group only).

Our area is home to a widely representative cross-section of Namibian wildlife. It is a wonderland for lovers of both fauna and flora alike. Animals can be viewed by sitting in one of the many elevated hides located at various waterholes around the ranch. Alternatively, relax on our deck at the pool, which looks onto a waterhole. Different species of animals visit this waterhole day and night, when the waterhole is illuminated. The area around the Waterberg is also well-known amongst bird lovers.
Waterberg Guest Farm offers four comfortably furnished rooms and four bush bungalows, en suite. A lounge with a fireplace and a selection of books await you on cold winter nights. Nestled on a rock terrace high up on the slope of the Waterberg, the chalets of the Waterberg Plateau Lodge afford grand vistas of the endless Kalahari bush savannah below. Each of the eight double room chalets sits between red sandstone rocks in the midst of green bush, with total privacy guaranteed. Acacias shade the terrace; a plunge pool filled with spring water provides cooling and attracts birds and small game.
Hamakari Guestfarm at the Waterberg is a typical Namibian hunting and guest farm. Hamakari is a family owned business run by the well-known Diekmann family. This safari-chic, thatched villa has two en-suite, luxury bedrooms in the main house and two separate private, luxury mini suites, which together can accommodate up to eight adults and four children.
