Bitterwasser is a lodge and famous flying center located south of Windhoek. The Lodge offers accommodation in 22 deluxe bungalows, 14 rondavels and 6 farm house rooms. Alte Kalkofen Lodge is situated 100 km west from the small historical town Keetmanshoop en-route the main tar road to Luderitz in the Southern part of Namibia. The lodge is set in a beautiful natural African garden where vast open spaces effortlessly combine with the rocky desert area. The lodge itself offers 10 bungalows as well as two rooms in the farm house, all overlooking large camel thorn trees growing in the river bed. The lodge features its own restaurant where breakfast is served daily. The restaurant is also open to guests for light lunches and home-cooked evening meals.
