Epupa Camp offers you a relaxing yet exhilarating few days of personalised service and excellent meals in the seclusion of a lush riverine wilderness of Ana trees, wild figs, Makalani palms and Baobabs. It is situated on the southern bank of the Kunene River, from which the Kunene Region in the northwest of Namibia, takes its name. Epupa Camp offers three kinds of accommodation, namely tented rooms, self-catering tented-campsites and traditional campsites.

Camp Syncro is located right at the edge of the Kunene River. It is a remote paradise where you can find a place of recreation, far off civilization. The Camp is only reachable by 4×4. It is a place to relax, to listen to the river, to look at the mountains and to enjoy the scenery. The area is home to the nomadic Ovahimba and to pristine nature and wildlife. The camp offers 4 campsites, each with an individual braai area, a sink with running water and a table. Hot/cold showers and flushing toilets can be found in the shared ablution block. 2 Self-Catering Bungalow are also available.

Khowarib Lodge nestles on the banks of the Hoanib River in the magnificent Khowarib Gorge in north-west Namibia. The 14 canvas en-suite Chalets are a short walk from the lodge to the river bank and comprise either twin or double bed sleeping arrangements. Viewing platforms extend from the front of each tent shaded by the plentiful Mopani trees but affording splendid views of the gorge. The bathrooms are spacious and well equipped and add to the feeling of indulgence and relaxation that Khowarib Lodge offers.

A joint venture between the local communities and the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, the world’s only Africa-wide giraffe conservation organisation, the Hoanib Valley camp is an elegant, intimate affair that immerses you into the wilds of the desert. The six rooms blend seamlessly with the environment, offering a simple aesthetic that matches the rugged landscape down to a tee. Days are spent tracking endangered rhino, desert-adapted elephant, and of course desert-adapted giraffe, before retiring to your private veranda to marvel at the magnitude of your surroundings

The camp offers camping accommodation on 4 exclusive campsites, each site with own toilet, shower – cold and hot water – and small shaded kitchen area with scullery and own fireplace. A small reception area has been built and provides the visitor with the check in and rules of the site as well as wood.  Light is provided via a 12 Volt DC solar operated system, no 220 volt is available on site
Water is supplied from a borehole close by but is not of drinking quality, water can only be used for cleaning, showering, toilet etc.
Each site can accommodate up to 3 vehicles and the maximum clients per site is 6 guests.  Total number of guests at the campsites at any one time is 24.  No guest WiFi is available.  The camp is furthermore connected via VHF radio and repeater to Hoanib Valley Camp, this can be of value of somebody getting lost or has a problem in the area

Okahirongo River Camp is an eco-friendly luxury tented lodge built on a sweeping ridge and opening up to breathtaking views of the Kunene River. All the Luxury tents are placed to have their own private view on the beautiful landscape. A nice breeze is coming from the nearby coast on the Atlantic ocean while an unforgettable lullaby is played every night by the river flowing between the rocky edges. Cleverly built into the rocky terrain all the accommodation are constructed with wood and canvas, walls in concrete to recall the mountains around. Each have a magnificent view of their own.

One of the highlights of Kaokoland in the far northern reaches of Namibia, Epupa is a magical belt of makalani palm forest on the perennial Kunene River. There’s something special about this Kaokoland refuge 180km north of Opuwo, where the Kunene River plunges into the gorge below. Two hundred metres upstream from the cascading falls, Omarunga Lodge is a cosy thatched lodge on the riverbank set under the palms, and the perfect place from which to experience Epupa enchantment. In between rest and relaxation, there is much to experience here. Rugged, iconic, startlingly life-filled Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp is scenically located in a broad valley at the confluence of two tributaries of the Hoanib River in the northern part of the private Palmwag Concession. Its location thus straddles the Palmwag area and the iconic Skeleton Coast National Park, in one of the most remote areas of the Kaokoveld. Exclusivity is taken a step further as camp is only accessible by light aircraft and the camp itself consists of only seven twin-bedded tents and one family unit, each comprising stylish en-suite bedrooms with shaded outdoors decks. Flanked to the east and west by rugged hills, the camp looks out over stunning, starkly beautiful scenery and offers guests all the luxuries and amenities for an unforgettable stay.
