N’Gepi Camp

At Shametu River Lodge you will be experiencing the tranquillity of the Kavango River on your doorstep. When driving to the Caprivi, most travellers assume that Divundu, Kavango East, is only a place for a quick stop-over on their way to game parks and fishing tales but what they do not realise is that they are driving thru one of Namibia’s most precious hidden gems. Divundu is filled with the rich culture of the Kavango people – women draped with colourful cloth, Nguni cattle crossing the road every few meters. Children playing in the river and men on the wato’s catching dinner with nothing but an earthworm on a hand line. Game parks filled with wildlife, the Kavango East has become a destination in its own, a place where you can spend at least a few days.

Located in the western part of the Etosha National Park between the Okaukuejo and Dolomite Resorts, Olifantsrus Campsite is a camping-only facility.

Exclusive camping at the entrance gate to the Namib Naukluft Park and Sossusvlei – the area well known for the towering red sand dunes of the Namib Desert, the iconic scorched trees of Deadvlei and the remarkable depths of the Sesriem Canyon. Treasure the ambience of the Namib Desert, under the star studded skies, to the tune of the barking gecko and far cry of a jackal.

The Etosha Village Campsite is nestled in the spectacular green and gold Mopane forests surrounding Etosha National Park and caters to both Groups as well as individual travelers.
The 4 Individual Camp Sites are each equipped with Private Ablution, Power Outlets, Running Water, Lights, and a Barbeque facility.

The camp offers camping accommodation on 4 exclusive campsites, each site with own toilet, shower – cold and hot water – and small shaded kitchen area with scullery and own fireplace. A small reception area has been built and provides the visitor with the check in and rules of the site as well as wood.  Light is provided via a 12 Volt DC solar operated system, no 220 volt is available on site
Water is supplied from a borehole close by but is not of drinking quality, water can only be used for cleaning, showering, toilet etc.
Each site can accommodate up to 3 vehicles and the maximum clients per site is 6 guests.  Total number of guests at the campsites at any one time is 24.  No guest WiFi is available.  The camp is furthermore connected via VHF radio and repeater to Hoanib Valley Camp, this can be of value of somebody getting lost or has a problem in the area

Etaambura Camp, Namibia’s first Himba-owned camp is situated on top of a hill near the holy plains of Onjuva, and is a real insider tip. Etaambura has five canvas and thatch units each with its own private deck. These units have all been built on wooden platforms allowing amazing views onto the surrounding landscape. Etaambura is the ideal place to relax. You might see a klipspringer or at dusk, a Jameson’s rock rabbit. Tiny footprints are evidence of genets and African wildcats. The calls of a diversity of birds, the whispery rustle of paper-bark and other Commiphora trees, bottle trees in bloom, the rich hues of purple-pod Terminalia with 360 degree views make this camp unforgettable. After a game drive where you might be fortunate enough to see black rhino, enjoy a stroll and explore the hill, a botanical treasure trove with its many endemic species of plants and shrubs. Or just chill on one of the decks and enjoy the view with a sundowner.

The elegant Luxury Bush Camp is situated within the 2 000-ha enclosed wilderness area of Okonjima Nature Reserve, only 2.5 km from the Okonjima Plains Camp. Eight thatched, African-style chalets, a junior suite and three en-suite safari tents.

It’s one of the Kavango accommodation treasures to discover – Entering Hakusembe River Lodge at the end of the winding gravel track, you are greeted with a refreshing image of green lawn, large trees, a collection of thatched chalets and a strip of sparkling river. Khowarib Lodge nestles on the banks of the Hoanib River in the magnificent Khowarib Gorge in north-west Namibia. The 14 canvas en-suite Chalets are a short walk from the lodge to the river bank and comprise either twin or double bed sleeping arrangements. Viewing platforms extend from the front of each tent shaded by the plentiful Mopani trees but affording splendid views of the gorge. The bathrooms are spacious and well equipped and add to the feeling of indulgence and relaxation that Khowarib Lodge offers.
