The Etusis Nature and Game Reserve was gradually expanded to its 21,000 hectares of today. We consciously avoid fences, which suppress the natural migration of the game species through the Reserve.  The Lodge was built a little later in the heart of the reserve – with a gentle ecologically sustainable tourism concept, in which mankind understands herself as a guest. This has created jobs for the local community and, last but not least, we are trying to give each of our guests an impression of the uniqueness of Namibian nature and the necessity to preserve it.

Right on the doorstep of Namib-Naukluft National Park, not far from Sossusvlei the lodge is ideally suited for exploring the Namib Sand Sea – a World Heritage Site with some of the highest dunes in the world. Both lodges are located in the Namib Tsaris Conservancy, a private nature reserve of over 150,000 hectares, adjacent to NamibRand Nature Reserve in the west.

33000 hectares of beautifully-preserved landscape in the Namib Desert is a photographer’s paradise. With endless red dunes, crystal clear night skies, and mouth-watering, home-made cuisine – Kanaan is the ultimate ecotourism destination. ‘Kipwe’ meaning blessed in Swahili, is revealed amongst gorgeous boulders with sweeping views across the Aba Huab valley in the stunning ancient landscape of the Damaraland desert. When entering the nine dome shaped rooms you will feel like entering a cool secluded cave, whilst relaxing on the outside decks you once again become one with the breath-taking landscape, connecting you with superb views beyond. Nestled within these boulders, you are led from your room to your partially open outdoor bathroom where you can enjoy a starlit showering experience. Hiking and riding in the NAUkLuFT, the realm of quiver trees and mountain zebras, and a cosy stay with a personal touch amid the ambience of a working farm – this is what you can experience at BüllsPort Lodge & Farm. The mountains of the Naukluft with their gorges and springs form a charming contrast to the dune sea of the Namib. You have the choice between our lodge at the foot of the Naukluft Mountains and two campsites located 3 km further in separate mountain valleys within our nature reserve.

Bitterwasser is a lodge and famous flying center located south of Windhoek. The Lodge offers accommodation in 22 deluxe bungalows, 14 rondavels and 6 farm house rooms. Bitterwasser is suitable for up to 80 guests. A restaurant and a swimming pool is available. Scenic drives and guided nature dune walk are offered. Bitterwasser is more. Here you can get to know the diversity of Namibia on site: the vastness of the Kalahari with the fine red sand, which the wind has rubbed off all edges, the fauna with giraffes, zebras, springboks, ostriches, wildebeests ….., the crystal clear nights with its cathedral-like starry sky.

Ranch Koiimasis is situated in the heart of the Tiras Mountains. Allow your soul be revived in this magnificent surrounding and enjoy a special feeling of endless freedom amongst shining red granite boulders. Listen to the secret ancestorial voices, which the echoing wind carries through the ancient valleys. The name Koiimasis is derived from the former living San (bushmen) and means: “Place, where people meet.”

Situated close to the world famous Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park the Kalahari Game Lodge owns a 40.000 Ha private game reserve where 55 mammals, 58 reptiles and amphibians, 105 bird species and 185 plant types have found a home. The lodge comprises of eight luxury chalets equipped with en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans, air-cons and mosquito nets. The small kitchenette has tea and coffee making facility, wash basin, small fridge and a seating area. Each chalet also boasts with a private patio with idyllic views of the tranquil surroundings. At the lodge, guests can enjoy the restaurant, swimming pool, bonfire pit, and bar facilities. For the more adventurous visitors, the lodge also has six exclusive campsites located in the picturesque Auob riverbed. These campsites are widely spread and approx. 100 meters apart. Each is equipped with private ablution facilities, lighted by solar energy (advised to also bring own additional lighting) and the water heating system is a wood-fired donkey boiler. Housekeeping attends to each campsite daily.

Luxurious Lodge with two suites and 14 rooms with various views depending on type of view-room booked, nestled amongst the boulders throughout the mountain. The lodge is located close to the UNESCO heritage site of Twyfelfontein and where the desert adapted elephants roam.  The Twyfelfontein conservancy has been protecting the southern most roaming ground of the black rhino and elusive desert elephant. Sustainable eco-tourism and community upliftment is of the utmost importance at Mowani. Guides from the local tribes compliment day-time game drives to track mountain zebra, kudu, springbok, klipspringer and if you are fortunate enough… the leopard! The adventurer in me took over at Mowani. Days were filled with game drives, hot air balloon trips over the Aba-Huab Valley, champagne breakfasts and al fresco meals amidst the dusky landscape beneath Mopani trees.

Zambezi Mubala is a secret river hideaway where water laps the shores of the mighty Zambezi, hippos laugh and the calls of fish eagles pierce the vast blue sky. Leave your vehicle at Zambezi Mubala Camp, south of Katima Mulilo to cruise downriver and enter the enchanted Mubala world. The lodge sings its tributes to the colours of the water, the surrounding riverine vegetation and the clear blue sky, adopting the local Silozi name for colour – ‘Mubala’. A bird-lover’s dream, Zambezi Mubala Lodge is home to over 450 species of birds and hosts the springtime (August – December) visit of one of the largest colonies of carmine bee-eaters in Africa. These bright and cheerful visitors nest along the banks of the majestic Zambezi, filling the air with sound, activity and colour as they flash crimson breasts, swooping and rising into the air in an exuberant burst of energy.
