Epupa Falls Lodge & Campsites are located on the banks of the Kunene River, right on the edge of the Epupa Falls. Etaambura Camp, Namibia’s first Himba-owned camp is situated on top of a hill near the holy plains of Onjuva, and is a real insider tip. Etaambura has five canvas and thatch units each with its own private deck. These units have all been built on wooden platforms allowing amazing views onto the surrounding landscape. Etaambura is the ideal place to relax. You might see a klipspringer or at dusk, a Jameson’s rock rabbit. Tiny footprints are evidence of genets and African wildcats. The calls of a diversity of birds, the whispery rustle of paper-bark and other Commiphora trees, bottle trees in bloom, the rich hues of purple-pod Terminalia with 360 degree views make this camp unforgettable. After a game drive where you might be fortunate enough to see black rhino, enjoy a stroll and explore the hill, a botanical treasure trove with its many endemic species of plants and shrubs. Or just chill on one of the decks and enjoy the view with a sundowner.

Camp Aussicht is a unique Rest camp in the Kaokoveld situated south of Opuwo. The camp is located with an extraordinary
view of the valley below and in a beautiful quiet and isolated position on the top of a hill. There are 6 campsites, each with 1-2 bucket showers, 1-2 pit latrine, running water and a fireplace. No power. There are also 4 twin rooms with running water and energy. Bucket showers and pit latrines are outside to be shared.

Set under verdant trees on the banks of the Kunene River, Serra Cafema is one of the most remote camps in southern Africa. Guests can truly disconnect, unwind and relax to the sound of rushing water, and explore one of the driest deserts in the world. Respectful interaction with the semi-nomadic Himba community, fascinating nature walks, boating (water levels permitting), and low-impact guided quad-bike excursions complete the experience. The eight chalets are set on elevated decks and crafted in wood, canvas and thatch to create a unique camp that is at one with its surroundings and celebrates the culture of the Himba people. The Ozonganda (Herero, meaning “main area”) affords spectacular views over the Kunene River.

Kapika Waterfall Camp is a brand new lodge in Epupa, Namibia. We have 10 comfortable chalets. There is a pool as well as a restaurant. With its scenically beautiful surroundings, Epupa is one of Namibia’s prime tourist destinations. Visit one of the last Nomadic tribes on our earth. The Lodge is situated inside Fort Sesfontein which has been re-established authentically even to details from the ruins of a historical Fort built in 1896. The place offers a pleasant atmosphere with hot dry days and cool nights. After the adventures of the day and the culinary delights of the evening, you will enjoy a relaxing night below the Southern Cross and a fascinating star-studded sky. Fort Sesfontein is an oasis in the Namibian wilderness.

Opuwo means “finished” or “up to here and no further”. The town is the gateway to Koakoland and is the administrative hub of the Kunene Region. Opuwo Country Hotel is situated on a hilltop just outside of town.  The lodge is within easy reach of Kaoko-Otavi, Epupa Falls and Swartbooisdrift.

Rugged, iconic, startlingly life-filled Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp is scenically located in a broad valley at the confluence of two tributaries of the Hoanib River in the northern part of the private Palmwag Concession. Its location thus straddles the Palmwag area and the iconic Skeleton Coast National Park, in one of the most remote areas of the Kaokoveld. Exclusivity is taken a step further as camp is only accessible by light aircraft and the camp itself consists of only seven twin-bedded tents and one family unit, each comprising stylish en-suite bedrooms with shaded outdoors decks. Flanked to the east and west by rugged hills, the camp looks out over stunning, starkly beautiful scenery and offers guests all the luxuries and amenities for an unforgettable stay.

Khowarib Lodge nestles on the banks of the Hoanib River in the magnificent Khowarib Gorge in north-west Namibia. The 14 canvas en-suite Chalets are a short walk from the lodge to the river bank and comprise either twin or double bed sleeping arrangements. Viewing platforms extend from the front of each tent shaded by the plentiful Mopani trees but affording splendid views of the gorge. The bathrooms are spacious and well equipped and add to the feeling of indulgence and relaxation that Khowarib Lodge offers.
