A bird-lover’s dream, Zambezi Mubala Lodge is home to over 450 species of birds and hosts the springtime (August – December) visit of one of the largest colonies of carmine bee-eaters in Africa. Tsondab Valley is a private Nature Reserve of 170 km2 bordering the Namib Naukluft Park on two sides. Situated close to the world famous Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park the Kalahari Game Lodge owns a 40.000 Ha private game reserve where 55 mammals, 58 reptiles and amphibians, 105 bird species and 185 plant types have found a home. The lodge comprises of eight luxury chalets equipped with en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans, air-cons and mosquito nets. The small kitchenette has tea and coffee making facility, wash basin, small fridge and a seating area. Each chalet also boasts with a private patio with idyllic views of the tranquil surroundings. At the lodge, guests can enjoy the restaurant, swimming pool, bonfire pit, and bar facilities. For the more adventurous visitors, the lodge also has six exclusive campsites located in the picturesque Auob riverbed. These campsites are widely spread and approx. 100 meters apart. Each is equipped with private ablution facilities, lighted by solar energy (advised to also bring own additional lighting) and the water heating system is a wood-fired donkey boiler. Housekeeping attends to each campsite daily.

Perched on the rim of the Etendeka Plateau, Grootberg Lodge stands sentinel over the Klip River Valley. The lodge is the ideal midway stopover for visitors travelling between Etosha National Park and Swakopmund, allowing them to experience the true wilderness that is Damaraland. Fourteen cosy twin chalets and two-family units, powered with solar energy, are perched along the edge of the Etendeka Plateau and will make you feel at home. They are built from natural materials to blend into the surroundings. Private decks provide stunning views across the Klip River Valley. Each chalet is equipped with a private bathroom, a desk and a coffee and tea station. There are no electrical outlets, but we have a charging station in the main area of the lodge.
Spitzkoppen Lodge lies amidst the granite boulders of the the beautiful Spitzkoppe scenery. The Lodge offers 15 generously spaced chalets, each with private bathroom and covered outside viewing deck. The buildings are linked with elevated walkways all constructed to be wheelchair friendly and minimise the impact on the environment. The dining, lounge and bar area open onto the split level pool deck and the natural rock pool.

Kavango Accommodation
Ngepi Camp, situated in the unspoiled upper reaches of the Okavango delta panhandle in the western Caprivi strip, Kavango region, Namibia. With clean Kalahari desert air, the camp is set on an island under amazing trees with permanent river frontage and surrounded by seasonally flooded swamps. It is a paradise of flooded plains and secret swampy backwaters, teaming with wildlife, as we are nestled between Mahango National park, a few km’s to the south, and Bwabwata National Park directly opposite across the river. Most of our campsites are along the river’s edge, with a grassed camping area and an adjacent parking space for vehicles, trailers and caravans. Each site has its own 220v AC solar powered electricity point, river water tap and fireplace/braai area. Our Bush campsites are a bit more secluded, with lovely big trees for shade, but they have no river view.
At Shametu River Lodge you will be experiencing the tranquillity of the Kavango River on your doorstep. When driving to the Caprivi, most travellers assume that Divundu, Kavango East, is only a place for a quick stop-over on their way to game parks and fishing tales but what they do not realise is that they are driving thru one of Namibia’s most precious hidden gems. Divundu is filled with the rich culture of the Kavango people – women draped with colourful cloth, Nguni cattle crossing the road every few meters. Children playing in the river and men on the wato’s catching dinner with nothing but an earthworm on a hand line. Game parks filled with wildlife, the Kavango East has become a destination in its own, a place where you can spend at least a few days.
