Khan River was originally a cattle farm but was converted to a game farm and tourist destination a number of years ago. All internal fences were removed allowing the game to roam freely. For the last 15 years we have been building up game stock on our 15 000 acre game farm which has no high fence thereby allowing the animals to move at will around the Okawi Conservancy of which we are members & which covers an area of over half a million acres.

Mokuti Etosha Lodge is the lodge closest to Etosha National Park, only a four-minute drive from the eastern gate, the Von Lindequist Gate near the historic Namutoni Fort. Mokuti is located on its own 4 000 hectare private nature reserve, which shares a common border with Etosha.
Fill up on smiles at this extraordinary and out-of-the-ordinary lodge. Resembling a roadhouse of old with a large red roof, the lodge is a veritable treasure-house and a ‘must-do’ stop when visiting the canyon. The Okonjima African Villa is situated in a secluded wilderness area, 10km from the Plains Camp, overlooking a natural waterhole that’s ideal for wildlife photography and bird watching. The Okonjima Villa is the only lodge situated inside the 55 000acre | 20 000 ha | 200km² private, nature reserve. This safari-chic, thatched villa has two en-suite, luxury bedrooms in the main house and two separate private, luxury mini suites, which together can accommodate up to eight adults and four children.

Elandsgate is one of the oldest farms in the Grootfontein district and has been since 1930 when it belonged to the Alberts family and originated from the Dorslandtrek.
