A’Zambezi River Lodge – Victoria Falls

Bambatsi is one of the first and oldest guest farms in Namibia. It is situated 400 km north of Windhoek and lies 2 hours away from the Etosha National Park. You will be welcomed with our traditional “southwest” friendliness and way of life. Our guest farm with its endless horizons, lies about 1234m high on a giant ridge, the natural geologic divide, between the central highland and the Namib desert. Our farm house is built on plateau, that has an awe-inspiring view over the mopane landscape.

Namushasha River Lodge celebrates the wonders of the Zambezi water world with accommodation fit for a king. There’s a magic, a feeling or a charm that enraptures you in these northern realms. With elephants, hippos, myriad bird species, waterlilies and African bush, a visit to Namushasha provides an enriching adventure into Nature – to the accompaniment of the chiming of reed frogs, bird calls, hippo grunts and the soothing sound of a boat skimming through water. Namushasha’s impressive central entrance, designed in true African style with a wooden chandelier and carved animals, leads guests into the attractive lodge set between the trees. The dining room, with its high thatched roof, is open on the sides to the river world, providing a suitable – and airy – welcome to wonderland.

Close by is the Namushasha River Campsite. Here you can set up camp on the grassy bank under old grandfather trees and breathe in the spirit of the river. Raise your glass with friends around the warmth of the flames next to the reed-lined river. Here the bulrushes that locals and elephants eat grow and the day and night water lilies float. Campers are more than welcome to enjoy the swimming pool, then dine at the Namushasha River Lodge Restaurant as close as the hop of the river bird.

Camp Aussicht is a unique Rest camp in the Kaokoveld situated south of Opuwo. The camp is located with an extraordinary
view of the valley below and in a beautiful quiet and isolated position on the top of a hill. There are 6 campsites, each with 1-2 bucket showers, 1-2 pit latrine, running water and a fireplace. No power. There are also 4 twin rooms with running water and energy. Bucket showers and pit latrines are outside to be shared.

At Shametu River Lodge you will be experiencing the tranquillity of the Kavango River on your doorstep. When driving to the Caprivi, most travellers assume that Divundu, Kavango East, is only a place for a quick stop-over on their way to game parks and fishing tales but what they do not realise is that they are driving thru one of Namibia’s most precious hidden gems. Divundu is filled with the rich culture of the Kavango people – women draped with colourful cloth, Nguni cattle crossing the road every few meters. Children playing in the river and men on the wato’s catching dinner with nothing but an earthworm on a hand line. Game parks filled with wildlife, the Kavango East has become a destination in its own, a place where you can spend at least a few days.

Fill up on smiles at this extraordinary and out-of-the-ordinary lodge. Resembling a roadhouse of old with a large red roof, the lodge is a veritable treasure-house and a ‘must-do’ stop when visiting the canyon. The outside area hints of the wonderland interior with its rusty old Chevys and Fords from a bygone era, adorned with corky quiver trees and desert flora. Canyon Roadhouse has more than just a fascinating interior. Large attractive rooms, positioned around courtyards, make the Roadhouse a comfortable – and convenient – base when visiting the Fish River Canyon, just 14 kilometres away. The canyon resort has a swimming pool, a campsite, a terrace to enjoy Roadhouse specialities like Amarula Cheesecake (and the best cappuccino for miles around) and a walking trail through the hills.

Our Farm Omandumba West is exactly what is meant when speaking about a typical Namibian farm: fascinating landscapes, recreative nature, rustic accommodation, exciting activities and the famous Namibian silence. Omandumba is a personal guest lodge with farm atmosphere. Our cosy guest farm as well as our fantastically located Bush Camp are perfectly suited for the individual, nature-loving traveller to Namibia! All of the rooms are en suite. The Bush Camp offers Spacious Safari tents with stylishly equipped bathrooms at the back of each tent grant a comfortable stay. Each tent is furnished with a large double bed and a private terrace offering great vistas onto the breath-taking Erongo Mountains. Also on offer are 5 campsites. The private sites have cold / hot showers and open-air flush toilets.

Bitterwasser is a lodge and famous flying center located south of Windhoek. The Lodge offers accommodation in 22 deluxe bungalows, 14 rondavels and 6 farm house rooms. Bitterwasser is suitable for up to 80 guests. A restaurant and a swimming pool is available. Scenic drives and guided nature dune walk are offered. Bitterwasser is more.
