Corona is situated roughly half-way between Windhoek and Walvis Bay on the C26 gravel road. Time permitting, many prefer this route through rolling hills and valleys, to enjoy the far-reaching open spaces of the Namib Desert before the delights of the coast.

The Ameib Rhino Sanctuary which is part of the Erongo Mountain Rhino Sanctuary Trust, is a specially protected wilderness area with guest house in the Erongo Mountains, offering 10 guest rooms and 10 camping sites. The farm is among other things popular for two interesting sights: The Bull’s Party with the elephant head, a collection of impressing granite rock formations and the Phillipp’s Cave, an old cave of the San where they created many interesting rock paintings, including the very popular white elephant.
