Goibib Mountain Lodge is a situated in southern Namibia and is a useful stopover for those travelling between South Africa and Namibia. It offers a tranquil getaway right in the heart of the Great Karas Mountains. The Karas region is the southernmost, and the driest area in Namibia. It is flanked by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, South Africa and Botswana to the east and the Orange River border lies to the south. The beauty of the surrounding veld, can be enjoyed in the morning or afternoon, on foot or from the one of the lodge’s air-conditioned four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicles. A variety of game can be viewed, including kudu, springbok, gemsbok and ostriches, as well as smaller species such as rock dassies and the elusive steenbok. Goibib Mountain Lodge has plenty of walking trails in and around the farm, and are now specializing in spotlit night game drives.

This remote settlement, at the edge of the Namib-Naukluft National Park, has been a welcome stopover for more than 60 years. A thirsty traveler will find cold drinks, ice cream, baked goods, coffee and lunch. You can fill up on petrol, have tyres repaired, and stretch your legs during the long drive from Sessriem to Swakopmund.  Solitaire sits just below the Tropic of Capricorn at the center of the 45,000 acre Solitaire Land Trust, dedicated to preserving the grassland ecosystem and the wild animals that reside here. Land Trust holdings reach from the base of the Great African Escarpment to the Namib, the oldest desert in the world.

Brandberg White Lady Lodge is a rustic lodge situated in the Damaraland (Tsiseb Conservancy) about 2 km from Namibia’s highest mountain the Brandberg. The main building is built with natural materials from the surrounding area with a thatched roof. All accommodation is widely spread out on the bank of the Ugab River, ensuring a quiet, tranquil and relaxed stay. We are an eco friendly lodge running on solar power. The rooms have fans and electrical points.

The ancient rock art galleries of Damaraland is a popular attraction. Therefore, you can arrange day trips to see the rock engravings nearby. The region is also famous for the migrating of the desert-adapted elephants and vast landscapes. Khorixas Rest Camp offers accommodation in 26 Chalets, 2 family Chalets, 10 Single Rooms and 14 Campsites .  A pool and a curio kiosk are also available.

Situated on the edge of the beautiful Namib Desert, Duwisib Guestfarm is your perfect stop over on your way to Sossusvlei, Lüderitz or the Fish River Canyon. While staying at our small and personal guestfarm you will find true Namibian hospitality and an atmosphere of friendly familiarity. The main attraction in the area is the Duwisib castle, a medieval fortress which was built for the German ‘Baron’ Captain Hans Heinrich von Wolf in 1907.

A bird-lover’s dream, Zambezi Mubala Lodge is home to over 450 species of birds and hosts the springtime (August – December) visit of one of the largest colonies of carmine bee-eaters in Africa. These bright and cheerful visitors nest along the banks of the majestic Zambezi, filling the air with sound, activity and colour as they flash crimson breasts, swooping and rising into the air in an exuberant burst of energy.

At Shametu River Lodge you will be experiencing the tranquillity of the Kavango River on your doorstep. When driving to the Caprivi, most travellers assume that Divundu, Kavango East, is only a place for a quick stop-over on their way to game parks and fishing tales but what they do not realise is that they are driving thru one of Namibia’s most precious hidden gems. Divundu is filled with the rich culture of the Kavango people – women draped with colourful cloth, Nguni cattle crossing the road every few meters. Children playing in the river and men on the wato’s catching dinner with nothing but an earthworm on a hand line. Game parks filled with wildlife, the Kavango East has become a destination in its own, a place where you can spend at least a few days.
