“The name //Garas is the nama word (a local language) which means Quiver tree. This is a very basic, but clean campsite with ablution facilities, that has been decorated in an attractive manner. There are many quiver trees between amazing rock formations, and several aloe plants. Wood, water and snacks are available, but everything else you need to supply yourself. The owner of the rest camp is also an artist and immediately when turning off the B1 towards the campsite one can find several sculptures made from all sorts of materials along the road. Day visitors are welcome to visit this slightly different Quivertree forest.

Built in the wattle and daub style under Mopane trees and connected by a labyrinth of paths, the main building and chalets of the lodge look like an African village. The walls are adorned by copies of the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein. Each of the 60 double room chalets (with air conditioning) sits in a vegetable and herb garden surrounded by a low wall. The gardens supply fresh ingredients for supper, which consists of a starter followed by a delicious buffet. There is a swimming pool for chilling out and a viewing point for relishing sunsets. The lodge at the gates of Damaraland is ideally suited for excursions to Twyfelfontein, the Petrified Forest and the Vingerklip rock pillar.

Ugab Terrace Lodge is set deep in the heart of a rare and untouched mystery situated within Namibia’s famous tourist attractions. The lodge provides a unique African experience with friendly staff and delicious cuisine that will make visitors feel at home. Indulge in the breathtaking view while enjoying a refreshing drink and overwhelming experiences of bathing in a splash pool constructed in the natural rocks at the top of the mountain surrounded by unspoiled valleys and bush. The Lodge offers 16 Bungalows each with its own veranda and 6 campsites with own braai facilities as well as a restaurant & bar, a curio shop, a sundeck and a swimming pool.

Popa Falls Resort is a gateway to the north-eastern corner of Namibia and home to perennial rivers, magnificent indigenous woodlands, riverine forests, floodplains and reed-lined channels. the falls are accessible by foot from here. The falls, in fact, are not falls as one may expect from its name. Instead, they are a series of cascades created naturally over time by the running river, which splits the rock and forms a vast network of river channels.

Caprivi Houseboat Safaris’ Lodge is an exclusive lodge nestled amid a lush green garden on the banks of the Zambezi River, a few kilometers east of Katima Mulilo in the Caprivi region of Namibia, offering genuine hospitality in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Two fairly private campsites are available with communal ablutions consisting of a ladies’ and men’s shower and toilet. The ablution block also has two kitchenettes for those not wanting to braai (BBQ), equipped with a small gas cooker and dish-washing facilities. Each camping site can accommodate up to six guests.

Namushasha River Lodge celebrates the wonders of the Zambezi water world with accommodation fit for a king. There’s a magic, a feeling or a charm that enraptures you in these northern realms. With elephants, hippos, myriad bird species, waterlilies and African bush, a visit to Namushasha provides an enriching adventure into Nature – to the accompaniment of the chiming of reed frogs, bird calls, hippo grunts and the soothing sound of a boat skimming through water. Namushasha’s impressive central entrance, designed in true African style with a wooden chandelier and carved animals, leads guests into the attractive lodge set between the trees. The dining room, with its high thatched roof, is open on the sides to the river world, providing a suitable – and airy – welcome to wonderland.

Close by is the Namushasha River Campsite. Here you can set up camp on the grassy bank under old grandfather trees and breathe in the spirit of the river. Raise your glass with friends around the warmth of the flames next to the reed-lined river. Here the bulrushes that locals and elephants eat grow and the day and night water lilies float. Campers are more than welcome to enjoy the swimming pool, then dine at the Namushasha River Lodge Restaurant as close as the hop of the river bird.

At Shametu River Lodge you will be experiencing the tranquillity of the Kavango River on your doorstep. When driving to the Caprivi, most travellers assume that Divundu, Kavango East, is only a place for a quick stop-over on their way to game parks and fishing tales but what they do not realise is that they are driving thru one of Namibia’s most precious hidden gems. Divundu is filled with the rich culture of the Kavango people – women draped with colourful cloth, Nguni cattle crossing the road every few meters. Children playing in the river and men on the wato’s catching dinner with nothing but an earthworm on a hand line. Game parks filled with wildlife, the Kavango East has become a destination in its own, a place where you can spend at least a few days.

Spitzkoppe Mountain Tented Camp is situated only one km from the beautiful Spitzkoppe Mountains. The campsite boasts pre-erected safari tents, and camping sites ideal for families and groups. The area is popular with mountain climbers, hikers and star gazers.  The camp offers comfortable safari tents, already set up and wait for your arrival and camping sites with private bathrooms, showers and electrical points. Each tent sleeps three people and has a private bathroom with running water and flush toilets. Bar and Restaurant is available however guest can also bring their own catering equipment and staff are available to assist with any requests. Braai facilities and washing up areas are provided at each campsite.  Guests can enjoy sunset tours a guided drive or walk to the popular Bushmen Paintings or mountain biking.

Erongo Plateau Camp is situated in the heart of the Erongo mountain range near Omaruru. This is the gate to Damaraland where you find the famous desert elephants or ancient Himba tribe in Kaokoveld. It is also within comfortable traveling distance to Swakopmund, Hentiesbay, Twyfelfontein, Etosha or even the capital city Windhoek. The camp provides three private campsites. Several excursions can be made including visits of interesting sights in the Erongo mountains such as Bull’s Party and Phillip’s Cave.
