Ongava Lodge

Tambuti is a small Lodge beautifully perched above the Kavango River overlooking the floodplain. We are one of the rare lodges looking at the river without getting wet feet, thus we are also open during the flood season, all year round. Tambuti Lodge is at the centre of the two Kavango region East and West, ideally situated in the heart of Rundu overlooking Kavango River.

Alte Kalkofen Lodge is situated 100 km west from the small historical town Keetmanshoop en-route the main tar road to Luderitz in the Southern part of Namibia. The lodge is set in a beautiful natural African garden where vast open spaces effortlessly combine with the rocky desert area. The lodge itself offers 10 bungalows as well as two rooms in the farm house, all overlooking large camel thorn trees growing in the river bed. The lodge features its own restaurant where breakfast is served daily. The restaurant is also open to guests for light lunches and home-cooked evening meals.

Hidden among large grey granite boulders and mopane trees, Hoada Campsite has the trimmings of a serene home in the wilderness. A well-maintained gravel road, requiring a high clearance vehicle, leads to the camp, located approximately 75 km west of Kamanjab. Pitch your tent in one of the spacious campsites or book one of our 4 permanent tented units. Each site has ample space for roof tents and is equipped with a kitchen area and BBQ facilities, a flush toilet and an open-air shower with warm water. On hot afternoons, take a dip in the pool nestled between the rocks and enjoy a drink on the wooden decks around it.

Elevated on wooden decks, with panoramic views over one of Onguma’s most beautiful waterholes is the new Onguma Camp Kala. Camp Kala consists of just four guest Suites, linked by raised walkways, and although the lodge is perfect for exclusive use for 8 to 12 guests, the 4 suites can also be booked individually. Spacious and private, the open-plan suites have sumptuous twin or king-sized beds with a state-of-the-art air-cooling system. The comfortable seating area is equipped with a fully stocked personal bar. Each suite has its own deck with fire pit, outdoor shower and wood-fired hot tub. There is a walkway to the private, shaded sala with a king- size outdoor day bed – perfectly placed for an armchair safari or to ‘sleep out’ under the stars.

Spitzkoppen Lodge lies amidst the granite boulders of the the beautiful Spitzkoppe scenery. The Lodge offers 15 generously spaced chalets, each with private bathroom and covered outside viewing deck.  The buildings are linked with elevated walkways all constructed to be wheelchair friendly and minimise the impact on the environment. The dining, lounge and bar area open onto the split level pool deck and the natural rock pool.

Camelthorn Kalahari Lodge is aptly named as it finds itself between two sand dunes in an area peppered with Camelthorn trees which are endemic to this region. The 12 rondavel-style thatched huts are sparsely set against a backdrop of red dune sands, yellow grasses, piercing blue skies and the greens and browns of the wide-spread Camelthorn and Acacia trees. The en-suite bathrooms are fitted with a large shower, air conditioning and a tea and coffee station. This lodge is designed to cater for the more young at heart and the rooms are therefore at an adequate distance from one another. Each rondavel has a small stone patio from which the captivating scenes of the Kalahari Desert can be taken in.
