Desert Camp

Situated 45 Km’s south of Wolwedans and hugged by massive granite rocks, Boulders Safari Camp is the most remote and ‘classic’ camp of the Wolwedans Collection. This tiny camp is as far off the beaten track, as it can get. 3 night package with arrival every Monday & Thursday of the week.

Kulala Desert Lodge is situated at the foot of the majestic Sossusvlei Dunes and is the closest lodge to Sossusvlei, accessed via a private gate exclusive to Wilderness Safaris.

Just east of Aus, Klein Aus Vista lodge is nestled in the granite-gneiss hills with magnificent views of the landscape. This is the area where the Namib Desert begins to merge with golden grasses, where wild horses roam free and people once gathered with diamond dreams. Klein Aus Vista provides the perfect base to explore south-western Namibia, as a destination in itself or a perfect halfway stop en route from the canyon to the red dunes of Sossusvlei or vice versa.

The Kavango River Lodge, with a spectacular view over the Okavango River and flood plains of southern Angola, caters for both tourists and business people. The chalets have en-suite facilities, air-con, TV-4 channels, refrigerators, hotplates, kettles, cutlery, crockery. Breakfast will be served in the restaurant and you can enjoy Buffet or a-la-carte for dinner. Also a mini-bar available. The ideal place for nature and bird watchers.

Situated on the edge of the beautiful Namib Desert, Duwisib Guestfarm is your perfect stop over on your way to Sossusvlei, Lüderitz or the Fish River Canyon. At Shametu River Lodge you will be experiencing the tranquillity of the Kavango River on your doorstep. When driving to the Caprivi, most travellers assume that Divundu, Kavango East, is only a place for a quick stop-over on their way to game parks and fishing tales but what they do not realise is that they are driving thru one of Namibia’s most precious hidden gems. Divundu is filled with the rich culture of the Kavango people – women draped with colourful cloth, Nguni cattle crossing the road every few meters. Children playing in the river and men on the wato’s catching dinner with nothing but an earthworm on a hand line. Game parks filled with wildlife, the Kavango East has become a destination in its own, a place where you can spend at least a few days.
