After COVID-19 hit the Namibian tourism industry hard, many experienced industry players were retrenched or had to close their entire businesses—a sad time for all.
Nadja, the owner and a well-known personality within the Tourism Industry for over 30 years was approached by former Colleagues and Friends who were affected job-wise by this Pandemic. It did not take long to think about it, and she decided to take on an entirely new start with a strong team she had worked with. This is how C Africa Safaris & Tours came to life. Employing four former Colleagues/Friends, C Africa is an entirely professional, established Company with experienced trilingual Staff and a long-time commitment to serving in the Tourism Industry.
With the Head Office in Windhoek, we also have an office based in the UK. We all love to travel, and we especially love nature and the outdoors.
Managing Director
As a born and bred trilingual-speaking Namibian, I had the privilege of being part of building the foundation of the Namibian Tourism Industry, dating back as far as the late 88’ties together with some very special people. As a Director, Manager, Salesperson, Tour guide, etc., covering most aspects of Tourism, I can pride myself on over 31 years of Experience and substantial Knowledge.
My History speaks for itself and can be summed up with 10 Years at Springbok Atlas, 13 Years at my own Company, Royal Tours, and three years at Kuoni Private Safaris, plus another few years of Tourism Training for the younger Generation. I have an absolute passion for meeting new people and being able to promote and sell Namibia and neighbouring countries.
However, my lifeline is being in the wilderness, hearing and absorbing the Voices of Nature.
Reservations
I am Carol-Jean Tap, but my peers know me as CJ. I am here to make sure you have a pleasant, fun booking experience and get acquainted with everything our beautiful country offers. I am an avid African explorer and action junkie, and I am very passionate about people. As a young girl, it has always been my dream to Manage a lodge because I was so infatuated with the beauty and magic of Namibia. I wanted to be in a position to show other people what we as Namibians have to offer, so when I started my career in tourism 15 years ago it was the beginning of a lifelong dream.
My studies after school took me into Aromatherapy but this was short-lived as I was presented with a fantastic opportunity and made my entry into Tourism and Hospitality at the esteemed NATH. After that, I completed Events management, Conferencing and courses at Damelin college. I gained experience at various leading tour operating companies over the years and can confidently say that you are in good hands with me as your reservations Specialist. I look forward to booking your tour.
Reservations Manager (Abroad)
Born in the UK, my family moved to Southern Africa when I was knee-high to a grasshopper. My childhood was spent between Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and South West Africa (now Namibia). I moved to the UK and, not knowing what I wanted to do, joined a specialist African Tour Operator, where I had the opportunity to travel to countries such as Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa.
Soon after Namibia gained their Independence, I returned, and from here onwards, it gets somewhat fuzzy; suffice it to say I started as a caterer and did a spot of guiding. When I got tired of living out of the bag and emptying sand from my vellies, I settled down in Windhoek. Over the years, I’ve experienced all facets of a Tour Operator, from consulting and marketing to the operational side. Just like some dunes that move on, I returned to the UK yet kept my roots in Southern Africa by working with a company that showcases what a phenomenal destination Namibia is!
Financial Manager
Adel joined the tourism and hospitality industry in 1992, focusing more on finance, internal auditing, administration, statistics, implementing systems and training. Adel joined the tourism and hospitality industry in 1992, concentrating more on finance, internal auditing, administration, statistics, implementing strategies and training.
This is also where her strengths lie. Apart from the above, she is passionate about Southern Africa and has travelled extensively across Namibia, Botswana and Victoria Falls.
Adel is fearless in getting her hands dirty, hopping on a flight, and implementing systems.
She is kind, patient, helpful and adored by everyone that knows her.

Born in Namibia, Tommy grew up in the famous Coastal Town of Swakopmund. I travelled the world after leaving school and returned home after being in Europe for 16 years.
For 17 years, I managed my business in Windhoek and then found a love for Tourism by attending a few International Travel Shows. Being an operations manager is a welcoming arrangement combining my passion for camping, travelling, and the outdoors.

You found it! Riverdance is a hidden paradise at the riverbanks of Okavango. Make it your home to relax, enjoy life and explore the incredible Kavango/Zambezi region, which is completely different from the rest of Namibia. Visit the hippos on a morning river cruise, watch and listen to birds you have never encountered before, relax in the pool, meet the Hambukushu people in the village close by or explore the national parks Mahango and Buffalo on a game drive and come home full of new impressions of the rich wildlife in the Kavango/Zambezi region, formerly known as the Caprivi Strip.
“The name //Garas is the nama word (a local language) which means Quiver tree. This is a very basic, but clean campsite with ablution facilities, that has been decorated in an attractive manner. There are many quiver trees between amazing rock formations, and several aloe plants. Wood, water and snacks are available, but everything else you need to supply yourself. The owner of the rest camp is also an artist and immediately when turning off the B1 towards the campsite one can find several sculptures made from all sorts of materials along the road. Day visitors are welcome to visit this slightly different Quivertree forest.
